Euroleague Basketball's corporate social responsibility program One Team and two of its partner clubs, FC Barcelona and Olympiacos Piraeus, joined forces to present a special halftime concert at the team's Turkish Airlines Euroleague game against the defending champions at Palau Blaugrana. CLAMS entertained the fans during the game's intermission, a choir composed of a dozen of students from the special education school Mare de Deu de Montserrat in Barcelona's Guinardo neighborhood.



The Wimbledon Foundation has teamed up with HSBC to bring former Great Britain No.1 Tim Henman to India to spearhead a new initiative aimed at boosting the development of junior tennis in the country.



AFC Bournemouth fans pooled together this week to help fund free travel for the re-arranged FA Cup fixture against Burton Albion on 14th January. The original tie on the south coast last weekend, against the side where they won promotion to League 1 in 2010, was postponed just one hour before kick off with the away fans facing a full day of travel. Nearly £3,000 has been raised, with the excess going to Cancer Research.



It has been announced that a total of nine charitable causes, nominated by ATP World Tour tournaments, players and alumni, will receive $15,000 grants through the ATP ACES For Charity programme in 2014. This year’s recipients include the Princess Charlene of Monaco Foundation, the Al Noor Training Centre For Children with Special Needs, and the Killing Fields To Tennis Courts Foundation. Grants have also been awarded to a number of youth tennis, health and education programmes: the MaliVai Washington Youth Foundation in Florida, New York Junior Tennis & Learning, the WimBelemDon Project in Brazil, and the Justin Gimelstob Children’s Fund.
